Mission

The mission of the EA&E team is to deliver integrated scientific and engineered solutions that address the execution of environmental regulations, development of sustainable energy resources, characterization and remediation of legacy wastes, the implementation of national security measures.

Vision

Our team's vision is to be recognized as providing best-in-class solutions to complex sponsor-focused challenges in a collaborative environment.

Working with a variety of federal and private sponsors, our research and development (R&D) teams provide technical and programmatic expertise in the areas of:

  • Project Management – Certified managers experienced in the execution and delivery of projects and programs in support of multi-disciplinary environmental assessments, scientific and engineering R&D, and field-deployed systems.
  • Regulatory Compliance – Full complement of subject matter expertise supporting the execution of, and compliance with, regulatory requirements under National Environmental Policy Act of 1969 (NEPA) and guidelines established by the Comprehensive Environmental Response, Compensation and Liability Act of 1980 and the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act of 1976.
  • Systems Engineering – Conceptual design to field-deployed engineered systems addressing radiological and non-radiological environmental signatures and contaminants.
  • Environmental Monitoring, Characterization, and Remediation – Development and deployment of systems and strategies supporting the monitoring, remediation, and conservation of natural resources.
  • Knowledge and Data Management Systems – Integrating and communicating knowledge/data management systems, information processes, and technologies through common collaborative platforms and tools.
  • Cultural and Archeological Resources Management – Identification, documentation, and preservation of cultural resources and historically relevant sites on federal, state, and private lands.
  • Risk Assessments – Expertise in release, transport, effects, and mitigation of radiological and non-radiological contaminants in both natural systems and human populations.
  • Techno-Economic and Feasibility Analyses – Technology-based proof-of-principal analysis, financial/capitalization impact assessments, and market feasibility assessment.
  • Teaching and Public Outreach – Active involvement in environmental education, public interaction, technical presentations, and professional societies.
